Help, I can't log in!

Don't panic! It’s really easy to fix.

First, have a quick look at the passport number and pincode you got from your school when you joined. Are there any capital letters or full stops that you haven’t entered?

Still no luck?

Click on the 'Forgot pin code' button on the login page. Fill out the form with as much information as you can, and someone from our team will help.

Don’t worry if you find yourself in a pickle with Aspire. You can always ask your teacher for help, or ask your parent or guardian to get in touch with Children's University Scotland at contactus@childrensuniversity.scot.

How do I find and log activities?

There are two ways to search for activities:

  1. Use the Activity Search on Aspire.
  2. Download the Aspire app to your phone (or a grown-up's phone).

Finding activities on the Aspire site:

  • Log into your Aspire account as a pupil or carer.
  • Click the 'Find Activities' button in the drop-down menu on the top left of the screen bar.
  • Click on the 'Where' filter. You’ll see three boxes.
  • The first box ('Show All') shows all activities that take place at your school, at home and anywhere else.
  • The second filter ('In School' )shows activities only open to pupils in your school
  • The third one 'Public' shows activities in your area and across Scotland that children from any school can take part in. If you're selecting an activity you've already done, remember to select the area it happened in here.
  • Use the 'Type' filter to narrow your search even more.
  • The keyword search is a good way to narrow your search further.

Logging an activity:

  • Once you've taken part in an activity, follow the steps above or use the Aspire activity search to find it on the Aspire site.
  • When you find the activity, click 'Claim Credits'
  • Select the date you took part, your rating and at least one opinion word.
  • Click 'Claim Credits'
  • Success! You've claimed your credits on Aspire!

You can also use this handy video guide to help you search activities and log credits!

How do I find the Aspire smartphone app?

Just head to the 'app-store' on your phone (or a grown-up's phone), and search for 'Children's University Aspire'. The app is available on Android and Apple devices.

The app is free, and it allows you to use a map to search for activities across the UK. You can even log your credits through the app without having to log on to the Aspire site. Give it a go!

What if I do an activity that isn't on the list?

We try to include as many activities on the list as possible, but this is a big task - especially if you think about how many activities take place in one small part of Scotland!

If you take part in a fun educational activity outside school, but it doesn’t appear in our list, we’d love to add it so you can collect credits for taking part.

In order to set this up, please send the activity provider some information about Children’s University Scotland and ask them to sign up as a learning destination.

There are two ways to do this:

  1. you can send them this link - www.childrensuniversity.scot/personas/learning-providers/- where they can find all the info they need and sign up online, or
  2. you can download our Welcome Guide and pass it on to them.

Alternatively, ask them to send us an email at contactus@childrensuniversity.scot, and we'll be happy to help them sign up.
